I've mentioned before about how I closely follow a lot of Gyaru content from Japan,
so one of the ideas I wanna start doing is writing blog posts every week about recent news, updates, & trends in English from our favorite gal publications like Egg & Loalo, as well as some Gyaru content creators from Japan like Yuchopa & Dededo, etc!
If I have fun making this one & y'all like it, then I'll turn it into a series! :D
For now I'll be focusing mainly on new YouTube videos and social media updates.

Egg has announced a 2025 Valentine’s Day Issue w/ a release date of 2/2!

As you may or may not have already heard, Egg’s popular model Momoa will be graduating from Egg after the next magazine.
Momoa has more or less become the face of Egg magazine in the past few years, so her graduation is a surprise to many. 😭
In this video she talks about her fun memories & struggles with Egg, why she became an Egg exclusive model, why she's deciding to graduate.
Momoa had decided for a while that she wanted to graduate at the age of 21. But she started to struggle with this decision after having so much fun in the past few years, and had even more hesitation when people started calling her “the face of Egg”.
However, lately she decided that she really wanted to take the next step in her life.
Momoa has faith that the magazine is gonna continue to grow very well without her there, considering all the new models that have joined recently.
She mentioned that she's had a really fun 6 years at Egg.
I know I and others will be cheering her on in her next endeavors! 💪🏾✨

Momoa Announces Her Graduation to Members who Have No Clue (uploaded 1/25/25)
The title is pretty straightforward for this video lol
They bring in a bunch of Egg models and Momoa tells them in groups about her graduation.
Most think it's a joke at first, but their emotions change as they realize she's being serious.
The reactions are pretty mixed. Some are sad & others are surprised.
However, all of them express that they'll miss Momoa & want to cheer her on in her next steps. 💪🏾✨

“I’m a Model, but I Wear Too Much Shein” No Shein Outfit Challenge (uploaded1/26/25)
This is an OOTD video where the models individually show off their outfits, breaking down where they got each item. ~
Normally for these OOTD videos, the models wear a ton of SheIn items & sometimes their entire outfits are from SheIn. However, for this video, they were banned from using SheIn items, challenging them to diversify a little bit more.
The brands that are popular among them were GYDA, EGOIST, Avail, SPIRALGRL, and more! 🩷

Egg Models Finally Tell All About Their Savings - Who Has Over 1 Million Yen? (uploaded 1/28/25)
The egg models talk about their savings habits as well as what their daily expenses look like. They also talk about how much money that they have saved up.
A lot of them work part-time jobs aside from being Egg models so some even talk about how much they make from their various jobs.
They also show off their cute wallets!
Many of them are sporting wallets from Big brands such as Fendi, YSL, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Balenciaga! (most of which were gifts)

This video is a continuation of the JK EGG Battle series.
Kokoa, Juna, Ran, & Kaecha go head to head in a competition to appear in the JK EGG section of Egg magazine.
JK EGG was a standalone magazine that was released twice in the heisei era, which focused on giving tips for high schoolers on how to accessorize their uniforms, do their makeup after school, and live their high School lives to the fullest.

In this episode, gals Aimin, Aisa, Kiiripu, & Yuichami are joined by KOGYARU models Yunachi, Lilipi, & Ryua.
The gals take turns answering questions about the KOGYARU models, such as “what is Ryua’s most expensive possession?”, “what hobbies are Lilipi most obsessed with rn?”, etc.
Lilipi’s mom Ririka (a himegyaru model herself) also pays a surprise visit! 🩷
